Terms of Service

1. Scope and acceptance

These Terms govern the AI services, NULLGAME account and games, Mofumaro, Mofumaro Plaza, Mofumaro Desktop, and other services provided by Junki Doi under the NullStateLab name (collectively, the "Services"). By creating an account, purchasing, or using a Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

NullStateLab is operated by Junki Doi in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan.

2. Eligibility and accounts

NULLGAME accounts and Mofumaro Plaza are for users aged 13 or older. A minor must have permission from a parent or legal guardian before making a purchase. Registration uses the entered date of birth only to determine whether the age requirement is met; the date itself is not retained as profile data. We record the age-confirmation time, acceptance time, and policy version. These requirements do not limit any non-waivable rights available to minors under applicable law.

You must provide accurate information, protect your login credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. Accounts, entitlements, pets, avatars, virtual items, and game records may not be sold, transferred, shared, or exchanged outside features expressly provided by us.

3. Services and current prices

The game screen or checkout shown immediately before confirmation is authoritative for the exact item, quantity, currency, renewal terms, and total price. Current English-language offers include:

• Daily Plate: 7-day free offer, US$4.99 monthly, or US$49 annually.
• Mushin Diet: 7-day free offer, US$4.99 monthly, or US$49 annually.
• Mofumaro: Mofumaro Home US$4.99 monthly; Mofumaro Pair Home US$6.99 monthly; Second Mofumaro US$4.99; Calico Mofumaro US$9.99; Miniature Mofumaro US$9.99; Cozy Collection US$9.99.
• Mofumaro Plaza: after NULLGAME login, a private avatar-only visitor mode and one starter avatar are free. Multiplayer Plaza access, including an accompanying Mofumaro and social features, is included while a Mofumaro free trial or paid-through subscription period is active; there is no separate Plaza admission charge. Each additional avatar is a US$5.00 one-time account unlock, remains saved to the purchasing NULLGAME account if the Mofumaro access period ends, and is usable in visitor or multiplayer mode while Mofumaro Plaza is operated. Starfall Fireworks grants 2 uses for US$1.00. Drawing Chalk grants 5 sticks for US$1.00. The Rainbow Bubble Machine, Giant Cushion Ball Set, and Forest Dance Music Box each cost US$3.00 for 3 uses. Each successful placement consumes one use; another purchase is required after all 3 uses are spent. Each activation lasts 1 minute for the bubble machine or 5 minutes for the ball set and music box. Only one placement of each item may be active per account at a time. Purchases already made under the former reusable terms retain those terms. Plaza items can be purchased and used only while multiplayer Plaza access is active. The Photo Stage is a free shared fixture.
• I Just Dropped a Ring: stages 1 to 15 are free. The English Premium set unlocks all 15 additional stages for US$9.99 as a one-time purchase.

Pair Home welcome gift: For new Pair Home subscriptions and upgrades to Pair Home after this offer is introduced, choose one Mofumaro pet from all pets currently on sale after a full Pair Home payment is confirmed. This is once per qualifying subscription entry, not every monthly renewal. After a downgrade takes effect, a re-upgrade qualifies only after a new full Pair Home payment. Free switches, prorated differences, cancelling a scheduled downgrade, and voluntarily saying goodbye do not add gifts. Replacements after goodbye are purchased separately. English-market subscriptions do not include a discount voucher. Claiming requires an active paid-through Pair Home and an empty pet slot. Unused gifts may be revoked following a refund or payment reversal. Past purchases and existing subscriptions are not retroactively granted gifts.

Japanese-language offers use a separate local-market purchase flow and may have different market-specific prices. English purchases use the USD prices shown above.

4. Payments, regions, and final confirmation

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers or security codes. Before you place an order, the checkout or in-game confirmation displays the product, granted quantity, price and currency, payment timing, whether it renews, delivery timing, and the applicable cancellation or refund terms. You must review and may correct your order before confirmation.

USD purchases are currently offered only to customers located in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Customers in Japan use the Japanese purchase flow. Paid checkouts from other territories are declined. Free pages may remain viewable elsewhere.

Subscriptions renew at the interval displayed at checkout until you stop automatic renewal. By subscribing, you authorize the recurring charge shown at checkout. One-time purchases do not renew.

5. Cancellation and Mofumaro data

You may stop automatic renewal at any time through the account or subscription management flow. No further renewal is charged after cancellation is confirmed, and access normally continues until the end of the paid period. We do not provide a partial change-of-mind refund for unused days, subject to mandatory consumer law.

For Mofumaro, you may cancel a scheduled cancellation or downgrade before it takes effect where the account screen offers that option. If a Mofumaro subscription is cancelled and its valid period ends, all saved data for pets you own is deleted. Deleted individual pet data cannot be restored.

6. Digital delivery and refunds

Digital content and account entitlements are normally delivered immediately after server confirmation of payment or in-game currency consumption. Consumable Plaza items lose one use when activated. Reusable Plaza items may be used again after their current effect ends, subject to simultaneous-use and placement restrictions.

After immediate digital delivery begins, change-of-mind cancellation is generally unavailable. This does not apply to duplicate charges, non-delivery, an incorrect grant quantity, a material defect, a failure caused by us, or any remedy required by law. Depending on the case, we may refund, re-perform delivery, restore an entitlement, or re-grant the item or use. The full process appears in our Refund Policy.

7. Mofumaro Plaza and social features

Mofumaro Plaza is an online multiplayer space. Server capacity, terrain, avatars, interactions, item effects, and other features may change for quality, security, or balance. We will not charge again merely because the effect or balance of an already unlocked item is adjusted, but continuing availability of every feature is not guaranteed.

If no Mofumaro free trial or paid-through subscription period is active, the Plaza opens as a private avatar-only visitor session. Visitor mode does not connect to other users or pets and does not permit an accompanying Mofumaro, chat, whispers, friend features, user-profile viewing, or Plaza-item purchase or use. Walking, taking photos, using owned avatars, and viewing or purchasing additional avatars remain available. An avatar unlock remains owned by the purchasing account; activating Mofumaro access again restores multiplayer Plaza access without requiring the avatar to be purchased again.

During multiplayer Plaza access, nicknames, avatars, accompanying pets, and global chat may be visible to other users. Whispers are visible to their intended recipient, except that related messages may be retained and reviewed when a report is submitted. You may block or report another user. We may remove content, limit chat or social functions, suspend an account, preserve evidence, or contact relevant services or authorities where reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. We do not promise to pre-screen or continuously monitor every message.

8. Prohibited conduct

• Harassment, threats, stalking, hateful, sexual, violent, exploitative, or otherwise unsafe content.
• Publishing another person's personal information or requesting passwords, verification codes, or payment data.
• Impersonation, fraud, phishing, unauthorized external sales, real-money trading, or chargeback abuse.
• Cheats, bots, macros, forged requests, payment or entitlement bypasses, reverse engineering beyond mandatory legal exceptions, vulnerability exploitation, or excessive load.
• Spam, report abuse, repeated disruption, or attempts to evade an account or feature restriction.
• Using Service content or data to train or evaluate machine-learning systems without permission.

9. AI, health, and wellness notices

AI outputs can be incomplete or wrong. Mushin Diet and Daily Plate provide general wellness and food ideas, not diagnosis, treatment, clinical nutrition, prescribed exercise, or medical advice. Estimated calorie, BMI, or macro values are not clinically assessed. Check allergens and important health information yourself and consult an appropriately qualified professional before acting where health or safety may be affected.

No particular health, weight, fitness, relationship, financial, game, or life outcome is guaranteed.

10. Availability, changes, and service closure

We may maintain, modify, suspend, or discontinue a Service for security, legal, technical, external-provider, or operational reasons. We will give reasonable notice of material planned changes where practicable. If a paid Service closes, subscriptions stop renewing, paid access continues through the paid period where possible, and refunds or credits are handled under the Refund Policy and applicable law.

We use reasonable safeguards and backups but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every device, or permanent storage of all game, local, or social data.

11. Intellectual property and user content

Service software, characters, pets, names, art, animation, music, sound, text, design, and other content belong to Junki Doi, NullStateLab, or their licensors. You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service under these Terms.

You retain rights in content you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive license to host, display, transmit, format, back up, and moderate that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service. You must have the right to submit it.

12. Liability and mandatory rights

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss or loss caused by reliance on AI output, third-party services, unsupported devices, or a user's breach of these Terms. For loss caused by our ordinary negligence, liability is limited to direct, foreseeable loss and the amount paid to us during the three months before the event.

No exclusion or limit applies to fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury where liability cannot be limited, or any consumer guarantee or other right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when reasonably necessary. We will post the effective date and notify affected users before a material adverse change by email, in-product notice, or another appropriate method. We will obtain separate consent where required by law.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Japanese law. To the extent legally permitted, disputes are subject to the Sapporo District Court or Sapporo Summary Court. This clause does not remove a consumer's mandatory right to use a local court, tribunal, regulator, guarantee, or remedy under applicable law.
